Personal Skating Experience:
Has been a part of the skating community through both Skate Canada and US Figure Skating for over 21 years. Former Skate Canada Sectional Juvenile Dance Pair competitor. Skate Canada Triple Gold Medalist in Ice Dance, Skills, Singles Interpretive and Senior Bronze Free Skate. USFS Gold Medalist in Partnered Ice Dance and Solo Free Dance. Is working towards USFS Gold Skills, Gold Partnered Free Dance, and International Partnered dances. Currently competes at the Senior level in USFS’s National Solo Dance Series. Trained extensively in various styles of ballet, pointe, tap, jazz and contemporary dance. Competed nationally as a Tap Soloist and auditioned for/danced in various Ballets with Canada's Ballet Jorgen and other Ballet Companies.
Coaching Experience:
Started as a Program Assistant with Skate Canada’s CanSkate in 2008 and later became an Instructor. Became a Learn To Skate USA Instructor in 2020 and began coaching private lessons Summer of 2021. Created a ‘Cecchetti Style Ballet for Figure Skaters’ program in 2022. Teaches team and one-on-one power skating. Head power skating coach for the Bluewater Hawks U13 AA (2021-2022) & U15 A (2022-2023).
Accreditations & Education:
USFS & PSA. SafeSport Compliant. Grade 4 Ballet (Royal Academy of Dance), Grade 4 Ballet (Cecchetti), Premier in Tap & Blue Ribband in Jazz (British Association of Teachers of Dance).
